Black Sea

The Black Sea is one of the smallest seas in the world. It forms the natural eastern frontier of Bulgaria. It is the only seaway of the country. The climate on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast is pleasant and mild with average summer temperatures between 26-28 degrees Celsius and over 2400 hours of sunshine annually. The salt content of the sea water is very low. There are no dangerous fish in its waters. Tides are not high. The sea bottom has a very low gradient, so that one can wade for hundreds of meters into the sea and the water hardly reaching his knees. The fine sand of the vast beaches, the combination of sea and mountains, the vineyards and orchards stretching to the very sea edge, the luxurious seaside resorts make the Bulgarian Black Sea coast and extremely attractive place for holiday making.
