Hisarya

Since early antiquity Bulgaria has been famous for its wealth of mineral water whose preventive and curative properties have always been highly valued. Furthermore, the country ranks among the first in the world for the abundance of natural mineral springs. 140 mineral water fields are known to exists on its territory, where there are over 600 mineral springs possessing various chemical compounds, temperature and curative properties. The numerous remains of Roman and Byzantine development bear witness to the fact that these springs have been exploited since ancient past.

Hisarya is a famous spa resort, situated to the south of the Balkan Mountains, close to the Valley of Roses. 22 mineral springs with temperature of the water from 27 to 51 degrees Celsius. The town has a rich historical background.
