Pamporovo

Pamporovo is one of the best known Bulgarian mountain resorts, situated in the Rhodopa Mountains at an altitude of 1650 m above sea level, some 260 km from Sofia and 85 km from Plovdiv. The climate features an average of 120 sunny days, while snow cover in winter reaches up to 1.5 m. Ski season starts in mid-December and ends in mid-April. The resort offers wonderful skiing opportunities with a range of beautiful runs on the slopes of Mount Snezhanka. The total length of the ski runs is over 25 km – ideal both for first-timers and advanced skiers. The favourable climate, the crystal clear air, the fascinating landscape make Pamporovo attractive to hikers and convalescents in all season.
