St. Constantine is the oldest Bulgarian seaside resort built on the site of an old monastery. The first holiday houses started here in 1908 and traditions are extended today to creating a modern resort with excellent hotels and facilities. The location of the hotels amidst an old park with cypresses, lilies and fig trees, the sunny days, the mineral waters and the curative mud make the place the ideal health spa. Most of the hotels offer hydrotherapy facilities and everything one would expect from a top-class hotel – theme restaurants, bars, sports and entertainment opportunities.
The Black Sea is one of the smallest seas in the world. It forms the natural eastern frontier of Bulgaria and the only seaway of the country. The climate on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast is pleasant and mild with average summer temperatures between 26-28 degrees Celsius and over 2400 hours of sunshine annually. The salt content of the sea water is very low. There are no dangerous fish in its waters. Tides are not high. The sea bottom has a very low gradient, so that one can wade for hundreds of meters into the sea and the water hardly reaching his knees. The fine sand of the vast beaches, the combination of sea and mountains, the vineyards and orchards stretching to the very sea edge, the luxurious seaside resorts make the Bulgarian Black Sea coast and extremely attractive place for holiday making.
